In 1928, Mademoiselle Chanel had a villa built on the heights of Roquebrune, overlooking the smooth waters of the Mediterranean. A house that she imagined and decorated entirely and whose architecture is reminiscent of Aubazine Abbey, the boarding school where she grew up. The house was named La Pausa. Mademoiselle stayed there frequently, surrounded by her relatives.
